Champagne testing proves tough job for bar manager! FRUIT bar manager Carol Laird has just completed one of the best jobs in Southampton - Champagne tasting! The mission has proved an enjoyable task for Carol who has been searching for a suitable Champagne to offer customers affordable indulgence when the bar opens in the city next month. Her extensive research means that Champagne lovers in the region are in for a treat with quality bubbly at just £4 a glass. "Fruit is all about having an indulgent time and customers can relax in our sumptuous surroundings, sip Champagne and enjoy the finest Austrian chocolate cake," said Carol. "It’s been a tough job tasting so many different Champagnes and I had plenty of offers to help but I consider myself an expert when it comes to the bubbly stuff and I was quite happy to complete the task alone!" Customers will be able to sample the results of the extensive research when Fruit opens in the High Street at the beginning of November.
